Wigwam SAAB in E. Providence R.I. I had the misfortune of having my car towed there when it wouldnt start because it was the closest dealer. When I got there I told them I had an extended warentee and to let me know before they did work, they took down the name of the company and told me dont worry about it, which is what my usual dealer does (SAAB Nashua North). The gave me a ride to the rental place and told me there was a discount due to a service agreement they had with them. Well after two days I called and they said they would look at it tomorrow, the next day, same thing, this went on for a week until I got pissed, then they told me "when a car is towed here, we look at it if we have time at the end of the day". I asked if they had an appointment time for MY car and they said no. So I said when is your next available apointment? They told me tomorrow at 10, so I said OK ill take that appointment, you know where to find the car, its in your lot. They did look at my car that day and replaced what turned out to be a faulty ignition switch, something which took them a whole hour to fix. But thats not all folks, when I turned in the rental they charged me $45 a day, when I asked about the "agreement" with Wigwam SAAB, they said it dosnt count on holiday weeks (it was thanksgiving) or on weekends. So I finally go to pick up my car and they give me the bill and there is no deduction for the warentee. When I ask why they tell me "did you buy it from us?" I tell them no I got it from another SAAB dealer, so they say "Oh, we only honor warentees bought from us" I told them that would have been nice to know BEFORE the work was done, their answer? "sorry". Then they tell me they are going to wash my car and bring it to me, I wait and wait and wait, go to the counter, they tell me it'll be right out, so I wait and wait and wait, till a salesman comes to ask why I am just hanging out in the showroom, then goes to talk to service and tells me itll be right out. 5 minutes later my car does come out, unwashed of course, but im just glad to have it back and I leave as fast as I can. Moral of the story- even if you break down a block away, dont have your car towed to WIGWAM SAAB in East Providence R.I.
