Welcome to the world of the insane world of Saab. :) :) :) Seriously, I've only had my Saab since Oct of last year. I have a 94 900SE with the 2.5 V6. It was maintained very well by the previous owner, military guy who picked up in Sweden from the factory. It had 86k on it when I bought it and it now has 102k, running very strong. Since I've had it, this is what I've done:

temp gauge sensor
had the timing belt changed at 90k (under factory warranty)
put brakes on the front
Replaced the tires due to a blowout and I wanted the same tread all around. I am in need of replacing
SID (got for $112 shipping included from Goldwing Parts)

Needed:
new thermostat
some ACC work (whining noise at idle but still blows COLD air)

I've averaged 29 mpg since I've owned it, much better then the 18 I was getting in my 4x4 truck.
