Second, it could be that the TCS system got pissed off and decided that the TCS throttle body (which was on the brink of going bad anyway) didn't like to work and it "broke the back" of it.
I have had quiet a few throttle bodies on the early V6 going bad.
It can be tested by force running the throttle linkage back and forth by use of Tech 2. If the throttle linkage doesn't do a full sweep back and forth, but more stutters. It might be time for a new throttle body.
When replacing the throttle body, it looks like it slides right of by loosening the 4 10mm nuts. BUT no.
It's a dimple in the rear valve cover that the throttle body fits into.
By extracting three of the studs holding throttle body, you can get around with not having to lift intake plenum when replacing TB.
