Black wire is usually ground. The "5 Volt" wire will only show 5 Volts when it is disconnected from the sensor (open circuit). There is a pull up resister (to 5 V)in the ecu that forms and voltage divider with the sensor. No 5 Volts at the sensor connector indicates a wiring problem or fault in the ecu. Pin 68 (yellow wire)is the temp sensor input on a 9000 Trionic, yours should be the same if it is a 4 cylinder.
