One pin is incoming power from battery and the others are outgoing power to different users.
By the number on each supplier pin, you know what kind of power source it is when looking through the electrical diagrams when fault tracing.
Battery power is called +30. Power out to starter solenoid is called +50 and is only supplied when key is in cranking position. Than you have +15 and +54 pins (which is usually the two ones that breaks down).
On top of this you have the +X pin which is supplying power regardless of key position.
So you see, you can have perfect supply of power over three pins to a whole bunch of users, but the +15 or +54 is breaking down (glitching) creating problems on a specific circuit.
