1) A/C blowing warm can be a very expensive fix. The problem can be as simple as a A/C hose leaking ($150 incl. labor) to a blown compressor or worse, the evaporator ($350-$1000). Unless you know for sure, this can (and should) be a deal breaker.
2) Clunking in the front can be struts, strut mounts, loose subframe bolts, or any combination of the above. Figure on spending $200-600.
3) Check engine light probably means a new oxygen sensor..easy to replace but the part isn't super cheap ($50-100)
4) Windshield washer pumps fail, but then so do the check valves...no big deal to fix by yourself and not expensive
5) Unless it's oily, I wouldn't worry about a black tailpipe. It means the car is running rich which is not unusual for a turbocharged car. A basic tuneup can cure this if it's excessive (plugs, filters, etc.)
6) Perf. exhaust may mean the guy is an enthusiast, which could be good or bad (good= likes cars and took good care of his toy bad=drove his car like he just stole it every time)
7) Try running a magnet on the paint to see if there's bondo underneath. If it doesn't stick, he's lying.
You might want to find a good Saab mechanic in your area to look the car over. I got burned by bad inspections at dealerships three times so I can't recommend that route.
The price isn't bad, but keep in mind what you'll have to put into it to gte it in top shape. All of a sudden, it's not such a great deal anymore.
Just my .02,
