Hey Gang,
I just want to post the result of a tune up on a 98 900 2.3 Convertalbe.
One things to look out for: Note the firing order (rotation) on the distributor cap. The distributor doesn't have a mark as to which wire goes to what spark plug. I used a Sharpie to mark it from the original set up before I removed the spark plug wires et all from the engine.
Everything else went smoothly. It was fairly simple. The glued rotor was a pain. But breaking it off wasn't as bad as I thought. The wire to the coil was a bit tricky, but not impossible. Changing the plug was a snap, especially with the spark plug wrench that came with the car (How come those cheapos stop including them with the 99 9-3?).
Overall, it only took me about 45 min. with clean up.
Good Luck!
Alexandros
