Power and speed are bad (check my credentials at the end)...wait - maybe its just police that are evil....but, that said...
The strongpoint of the N/A engines is that they are torque monsters. My mom has a N/A, and while it can't compare to my turbo, the N/A has a lot more power from the 2.3 (and feels like more off the line acceleration) at the low rev's. Once you get to about 3 or 3 1/2 thou RPM, there's nothing left. So you are better off shifting early.
My turbo on the other hand has much less below three, but once you hit 3, and the turbo hits, it starts pulling and keeps going until the rev limiter kicks in.
