Keep you old DI!

The busted part can be removed via small torx screws. If you need to use as a spare, you can move that part from to the spare. Or get a dead DI from the dealer or someone else and transfer the plastic part to your damaged DI.

That part can also be purchased as well, but you should not have to spend any money for a solution.

So what did the old plugs look like? What gap?

Given the state of things, I think that you will find the cabin air filter is a mess too. That can be cleaned and reused. Use lots of spray on cleaner and be bery gentle with rinsing. A harsh stream of water will mess up the polypropylene blanket element. It does not need to be white and small bits of larger foreign fiber etc that are caught in the filter are fine to. Thats just additional and free filter media.
