Sharif--
I don't know what the rules and regs in your state are regarding insurance claims. In Massachusetts, after 12 months or 12,000 miles (by law) you get LKQ (like, kind and quality, or used) parts or aftermarket parts. I think that the appraiser probably specified an LKQ wheel (I don't think Keystone or Veng or any other of those aftermarket houses make a knockoff Saab wheel. At least, I've never seen one). Now, if the specified parts do not fit your car, or they look bad when hung (i.e., the fender doesn't line up) then it's your repair shop's job to call the appraiser back and do a supplemental appraisal for an adjustment. I can guarantee that they are going to have to call the appraiser back out anyway, because they are going to find additional damage to the car once they tear it down and start working on it. They key is to let your repair shop know that you want your Saab brought back to pre-loss condition---most shops are concerned with making certain that the car looks the same after the repairs as it did before the accident.Their work is their reputation. However, there are shops out there that will cut corners and do only a passable job. See if you can get a guarantee from the shop on the repairs. Your insurance carrier may also warrantee the work.
Let me know if you have any other questions--I do this for a living. I'm a claims adjuster (not an appraiser) for the largest underwriter of auto insurance in Massachusetts.
Good luck!!
