1995 900S, 5 speed
Warranty Items
--------------
Power Steering hose clamp came loose spraying engine with P/S fluid.
Road Service called to start the car after we found out body computer does NOT control trunk light (left on)
idler pulley
driver vanity mirror
passenger vanity mirror
rear driver side door lock actuator
Out of Warranty Items
---------------------
Water Pump
Radiator Hose (the thick rubber one)
Radiator (last week)
Air Conditioning fitting (metal) (last week)
Air Conditioning mystery component (fuse?) that blew
Battery cable to rest of car (+battery, towing, etc)
driver vanity mirror
Preventive Maintenance
----------------------
Everything by the book including flush and fill, brake flush and fill...
thermostat (last week)
brakes
battery (2x)
clutch (wife's commute was ugly)
Current things to fix
---------------------
rear driver side door lock actuator
washer pump
antenna
SID pixels
clutch pedal cruise switch
vibration at some speeds (bushings)
muffler center piece
The car has 75K miles, the first half on highway, the second half in a nasty downtown commute. All work at the dealer, 3k mile oil changes.
We have experience with two other vehicles (an 85 Civic that was traded in good condition with 174K miles and a 95 Geo Prizm Corolla that is still running fine with 191K miles; total unscheduled repairs on these two have been about $500 parts and maybe $500 labor.
I hope that we've excorcised enough demons to make the 900 last us 3-4 more years...
