Do you by any chance have the Saab P/N for the clutch that you bought from eEuroparts? Is it 8781536?
If so, that's the regular turbo clutch that also fits good in your NA car.
It's no $700.00 list price on a clutch for your car if you didn't buy some high tec performance clutch (and why would you on a non turbo car?)
It is fully possible for a driver to kill a clutch in 4 month, hopefully you are not one of them.
Some times clutches can have manufacturing defects that doesn't show up until after awhile, that's why the shops leave warranty on the job WHEN they get to install their own parts.
I got bitten by a bad pressure plate last week and have to do the job all over again on Monday, uneven fingers on pressure plate that generates a vibration when clutch pedal is pressed down.
The play in clutch pedal is probably normal, it usually moves about 1-2" before any resistance is felt.
