I'm new to saab, having spent many years with japanese vehicles, which were mechanically unstoppable and incredibly reliant. a friend assures me that i won't have any troubles with my saab, that they're very reliable, so i've decided to put my toe in the water. i'm looking at a 900 series, 1994-1997, 4 door, auto, loaded, with less than 170,000 Kilometres. the price is going to be less than $7000 CDN (about $5100 US).
I've got a great mechanic lined up, the best in toronto, so i'm not sweating the repairs. what i am nervous about is reliability: i want it to start and run 999 times out of 1000. guys, i've read your posts, you know these cars. in your heart of hearts, are these cars reliable? if the answer to that is yes, what should i be paying attention to when i'm hunting for these beautiful, gorgeous machines?
thanks
