Soft brake petal-master going?

Hello,
car is a 1996 900SE with about 96,000 miles on it. I have replaced front and rear brakes and bled the brakes. First using the ABS pump, and then read on this board that it was not neccessary. SO, I bleed the brakes manually and still have a problem with a mushy petal.
When I bled them the first time, the petal somehow got stuck under lower facia and I have a feeling I have pushed the master too far. It is almost like I have to double pump to get the brakes to really bite. The petal has a fair amount of travel and no matter how hard you push, the petal never really gets hard.
The last time I bled, I didn't really get much flow, which I thought to be pretty strange. The level never really drops and I think I am going to try an re-bleed one more time before replacing the master. Any suggestions would be appreciated as always,
Thanks,
Kevin O
