high pitch whine

I posted the other day about a new noise my 97 900 SET auto was making. The noise was sort of a high pitch whine that seemed to be coming from the drivers side of the engine compartment. The frequency of the whine did change with RPM. It would appear as the turbo needle went into the yellow, and would dissappear upon acceleration, deceleration, or if I put the car into neutral. This at first was sort of intermittent, but over time became more frequent. Through some research, and suggestions from this board, I decided that it may be as simple as an idler pulley. So, I replaced that, and while I was in there did the short belt modification. Unfourtunately, the noise is still there. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
