I thought the same about the steps, but since I'm only using zaino, I figured I would call him and find out. I was not going to use 3m, but he informed me that it would be perfect for my application. I thought that using clay first was the right thing to, but my paint is need of some work. He said to only use this process if I have any oxidation, which I have a little of. But if you think about it, your are removing all the contaminates before applying any wax (even though zaino is not really a wax). Just in a different way.
Beleive me, I thought it weird that he told me this method-clay after 3m. That is when he started going into all sorts chemical this and that jargon. I'm new at this, so I wanted to hear it from the owners mouth.
I will give it shot and post my thoughts on it.
