Writing this message, party to vent and partly for some hope.
I recently stored my 93 Convertible away for the winter. I took all the precautions recommended on this site. This is the first year that I'm storing it so I took extra time. The best place I could find to store it was in a closed in portion of a barn. All of the car is covered except the very front, about half of the hood to the bumper.
My big mistake was that I decided to cover the hood w/ a tarp to protect it from the elements since it was partly exposed. I did this for 5 days, before I thought, that perhaps this wasn't the best idea.
I promptly took the tarp off, and discovered that my entire hood is scratched, and some areas pretty bad. I haven't had a chance to look at it in the daylight, just with the lights from my other car, but I was really bummed with what I saw. Do you guys think there is any hopes of buffing these out, or do I just have to live with it?
