The difference between a finely detailed car and one that just looks OK has more to do with the person caring for the car than the products they use. The real skill is knowing how to get the most out of the products and tools you have (or are going to buy).
What I'd suggest before maxing out the gold card is to expand your car care knowledge and information. From there you can decide how much time and effort you'll want to expend caring for your car's appearance. At that point the product choices are much clearer.
I'd suggest downloading and reading the linked detailing guide. It's *free* and is a great primer into serious car care. One note: The author of the guide sells and markets his own line of car care products as well as reselling other brands. You may want to take some of his product suggestions with a grain of salt.
