Persistent windshield streaks Posted by Caarl [Email] (#447) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarl) on Sun, 20 Aug 2006 20:21:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am bugged by these vertical streaks. I dampened the windshield to make them show up for the photo but they also show up driving into sunlight when approaching a shaded area (a very dangerous situation if you're windshield is grubby!) and in the rain. I've tried Windex, Invisible Glass, vinegar, Bon Ami, kitchen detergent, and #0000 steel wool, all to no avail. I've never had them on any other car and don't know what caused them. The only things different about this car from my other Saabs are 1. It had a former owner, 2. I used a silicone squeegee and silicone wiper blades on it. The blades were not very good so I got rid of them anyway.
How can I get my windshield clear?
Thanks, Carl
