Gordo,
Before you go to a body shop, check out the paintless dent removal thing. A body shop is going to have to repaint the entire panel to make it right. Don't mess with it any further because you'll flake more paint away. About 2 weeks ago, someone did the same thing to my wife's 10-day old 9-3 Aero (black). Call your dealer....they probably sub-contract a good paintless dent guy. My dealer's guy did my car in 45 minutes and charged me about 80 bucks. I saw him do another car that had a small amount of paint damage besides the dent. After removing the dent, he airbrushed the chip, being able to do so because the primer was still intact. You could not see ANY evidence of his work. Don't panic....just call the service manager at your dealer and see who they use or if they can recommend someone. When you see how these paintless dent guys work and what they can accomplish, it's truly an art form.
