Body shops: ask for recommendations

Regarding body shops, what I would do is go to a high-line but low volume dealer, and ask them where they have their body and paint work done.
Ask the Saab dealer as well as your local Porsche and Mercedes dealers. The guy in the parts department will probably know, or at least know who to ask, so just walk up to the parts counter.
Your local Toyota dealer might run their own body shop as a profit maker, and their own shop might or might not be good. But it's not likely that the Porsche dealer or even the Saab dealer has their own body shop. They'll use an independent.
If it's good enough for Porsche owners, it's probably good.
Just one man's opinion. But I have had miserable body work done by a Nissan dealer, and magnificent work done by a shop I found this way.
