IMO all the polishes you mentioned are too mild to remove severe oxidation. I have great result with the Optimum line.
The effectiveness of the polishes are dependent of the pad you use. I use Lake Country pads.
Allways start with the least abbrasive compound and pad. That would be Optimum Polish and a orange pad. Try on a 2 by 2 inch area. If that doens't help use a more agressive pad (yellow).
The next step would be Optimum Compound and a orange pad. Next would be Optimum Compound and a yellow pad.
Select the least aggressive combo and apply to the entire car. Finish the paint with a polish and a white pad to remove possible haze.
This is the prep of your paint and prep is the secret to a perfect finish.
To revitalize the paint I recommend to apply a coat of ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze and a black pad.
For longetivity choose a sealant (several coats. For looks a carnauba wax would be your choice.
But why not both (first sealant than wax).
For black there are several good choices (Pinnacle, P21S, Menzerna FMJ, Natty's blue ...)
Another very good line of polishes is Menzerna.
A trick : to have longer working time of the polish add a little Red Moose Glaze.
Hope this helps.
