OK, someone was nice enough to rub their bumper along the doors on my drivers side. It's a nice wavy mess of metal with streaks of something on the paint (plastic/paint). It's not that bad, it just annoys the crap out of me. I'm going to be detailing the car this weekend for the first time. What can I use to get this off? Will clay work? I'm not the kindest to my car, run it about 3k/month and park it on the streets of Philly. So here is my planned regime for the weekend:
wash with Dawn regular
clay
polish
wax
Because I waited till today to do my research, my options for brands are limited to what I can find at Autozone or the like (i.e. I doubt I'll find Klasse or Zaino there). If anyone can recommend anything, I would be eternally grateful.
I want to keep my car looking good and the paint protected, but essentially it's a work horse that won't see this type of attention again till next summer. Thanks in advance.
