Just wanted to thank those that suggested a combo of 3M IHG and the Blitz Grand One wax for my black Viggen.
The IHG definitely does a great job of hiding the swirlies and minimizing deeper scratches. After washing with dish soap (to remove old wax), glazing and waxing it still appears that I have a lot of surface dirt/contaminants, but the swirls are a thing of the past. I believe a lot of the spotting I see is likely from old sap - recommendations? I guess the next step would be to use a more abrasive cleaner if not go all the way with a clay bar.
Next time (once my sore shoulder recovers) it will look even better when I get finished. I see now why people like the orbital buffers for applying glaze/wax.
