Torque wrench recommendation?

Hi,
I think I've finally decided it would be worthwhile to have a torque wrench and was curious if there's anything in particular I should look for or watch out for. Also, I've noticed there are two types: a "beam" type and a "micrometer" type that would appear like you set the number and it clicks to indicate you've reached it.
Anyhow, I'm not pro so I don't really want a $70 tool but there appear to be plenty available on eBay...I just need to know what the heck I'm looking for.
Thanks
