Based on the research I did, 9-5 is and that's why we bought it. I don't know that the wagon is necessarily safer than the sedan and did not see any info about it (but perhaps if you filled the cargo area with a lot of pillows the wagon would be safer).
The best way to avoid your worst case scenario, based on my rudimentary knowledge of physics, is to drive a slightly more giant SUV at 55 mph.
