I like the heel-toe approach, which I perfected in my last car after wearing out the parking brake doing doghnuts and e-brake turns in the snowy campus parking lots.
I was such a silly youth, lo those five years ago...
I actually find the heel/toe method easier than coordinating my hands with the steering wheel and parking brake, especially when I am making a left-hand turn at a stop-sign on a steep hill. But do whatever works best for you, and prevents you from rolling into cars behind you.
Best,
Lutfisk
