I was having some A/C trouble in my cross country road trip and thought I'd have it looked at before hitting the HOT states (UT, AZ, CA). While in Denver visiting my sister, aunt, and uncle I had some time to get it looked at. I went to a mega dealer Chevy/Buick/SAAB and the best they could tell me was my A/C relay was bad. And they didn't have the part. Great. They told me to go to the indie across town and pick up a used one. I got charged a half hour labor (and a car wash) for nothing. Great. Off to lunch and then Mile High.

I got the part and started putting it in and out walks Jerry. Turns out he was a judge at last year's SOC, and he judged my convertible. My sister and wife took off for the mountains (Dillon) and I said I'd meet 'em when done. Jerry personally looked at my car. He checked pressures and totally went over the A/C system and found an intermittant connection at the compressor. I've spent WAY too much $$$ on this and no one could figure it out. Well, Jerry took the time and is a total pro. The part he needed was clipped from some used parts and it was done. Works like a champ.

His facility is amazing. Great body shop, 6 bays, huge parts department, junkyard (parts cars), and used parts. Plus a wall of rims to drool over. I got the full tour, including Jerry's personal vintage restoration projects.

Anyway, I thought I'd write a kind word about the man who helped a traveller in need. If you need service in Denver, Mile High Body Shop is the place. They'll take great care of you!

Cheers!

Randy
