Look for my post of a few days ago regarding the conversion to PIAA Super White bulbs on my '89 SPG. I am very pleased with them, their lighting output, and their reliability. I am using the #9004 of course. I blanched just a bit at the nearly $100 cost, but have had no problems and have driven across the USA and back with them, night and day, in all weather.
I must add though that I habitually use my foglamps with my headlamps, since here in the frequently dark and wet Northwest, and on blacktop, one needs all the light one can get.
Both my '84T and my present '89 SPG have been fitted with Hella 550 fogs. I use the original Bosch brackets, and I use clear fog lenses, not amber. These are good lamps, in my opinion. One can also get PIAA Super White bulbs for the fog/driving #H3 bulbs, about $45/pair, but so far I have only converted my '90 300ZX this way. Before my coming Seattle to NY drive in Sept, I may upgrade Saab's fogs to PIAA also.
If you get these, why not give us your opinion of the results?
