A coworker of mine had a 330 for a year or so. It was a stick shift. I just bought a stick Aero on Monday. Both cars have excellent, responsive engines. The Aero definitely has more oomph. Lots more torque over a much wider range. The BMW is no slouch, but the Aero is faster.
That said, the BMW drives beautifully. It's really nice. Whether the Aero has a more powerful engine than it probably shouldn't be your deciding factor. Drive 'em both, you might like the Aero better, you might like the 330 better. If it's the latter, you'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth the extra 25%.
