I have an 02 aero 5spd and I have recently driven a 330 5spd -- the 330 jumped off the line at a much greater pace than the aero. It wasn't even close. The aero is much faster in 3rd/4th gear as one might expect. Overall I prefer the aero to the 330 because most of the pep I need is when I am already cruising along at 50/60 mph, not a race at the stoplight. I also felt the aero handles better overall (this was compared against a sport package 330).
All that said based on off the line response the 330 is "faster".
The 330 is a nice car that is very fast and handles well, but not worth the 20-25% premium for less interior room. Thats my opinion...
