Sorry but the reviewer sounds like a total nitwit Posted by AdamB [Email] (#3) [Profile/Gallery] (more from AdamB) on Mon, 15 Sep 2003 09:55:54 In Reply to: Forbes on the new 9-3, JasonS, Mon, 15 Sep 2003 08:43:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |

"The new car is, thank heavens, much closer in performance and handling characteristics to its rivals from Audi and Volvo"
Right, like volvos have ever been better handling than Saabs, and the 9-3SS handles way better than both the S60 and A4.
"What isn't absent (and this is not one of Saab's quirkier traits we found laudable) is torque steer. Yes, all you Saab fans who loved to spin the tires when accelerating away from a stoplight can still take great pleasure in replacing that rubber in a very short while after taking delivery."
Torque steer in the 9-3SS? I don't think so, and what the heck does spinning the wheels have to do with it? Any high powered car will spin it's wheels if you're not competent enough to drive it.
It goes on and on with senseless remarks. Why the negative first chapter about Saab's economy? And if you're going to mention the $500 million loss, then you need to write the reason for it, namely that it wasn't due to selling less cars, but because the money was spent on developing the 9-3SS.
