it can out run an Aero from a stop light, if you have the chance, go and drive one. The XT version can be had with a manual.
The Forester also tested well in crash tests in its class, see test results from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
I wouldn't call the Forester good looking, in fact I don't think any of the Subarus are good looking, distinctive yes, but not my cup of tea. I could think of some people look at Saab the same way as well :-).
Turf war aside, GM's plan of a closer tie between Subaru and Saab actually makes sense. If we can get Saab styling with a mix of Saab/Subaru engine and mechanical, including AWD underneath I think that would be an excellent combo. Look at the 2005 Legacy, it has great promise.
