The old dual-concentric high effeciency Tannoy drivers are a superb product that demands high prices from collectors and users. Look on eBay and old 12" and 15" red or gold drivers. They're really great speakers, and they've been well regarded for decades.
I think a SAAB nut can appreciate them as they last for YEARS, are timeless, well engineered, and rival the best offered today. I'm speaking for "classic" tannoys, which I know best. I've heard more modern pro ones, too. They're darn nice.
But, people seem to want cheap, small, nice looking speakers now. Look at the garbage at Circuit City, Best Buy, or any Bose store. Crap, and often overpriced crap.
Enjoy your speakers. Know that they're not Altec Lansing or JBL horns, though. :) Do you run the speakers with a tube amp?
