The trouble here is that GM is making saab another GM company. 2 cars so far, how many more before every saab car has a cousin? It's fun to drive down the road and determine which cars are the same as which other cars that are just rebadges.
If this were part of a greater plan, that wouldn't be so bad. Bring some SUV people to SAAB, then introduce a new design SUV. Something like what Acura did with their SUV. It was generic, and just recently redesigned it entirely and made it something different. If GM used this blazer (how much is it going to cost to get a POS saab blazer anyway?) to attract SUV buyers to the brand, they'd have the market and opportunity to really put the heart of SAAB into an SUV.
O/T, but is the Porche SUV based on anything else, or is it pure porche? Nothing's pure anymore, but you get the idea.
