....I know snowboards. Most boards will be ruined when you get them wet afer compramising the outter layers. Water will seep into the glass and eventualy into the core (if your board has a wood core) it will swell and get weak, board will probably break by the end of the season right were the laminate or top graphics sheet was broken.
Learn to do your own tune ups, an old iron will cost you $5.00 at a thrift store, a nice file $10, and an edge file set-up might be $25- $35 for an adjustable/90 degree style. Maybe some p-tex sticks to fill in damaged base material, then after inital investment of your tools, all you pay for is wax and your time.
