I rent a 5g (the 30g is mine) to a trendy home/garden store near me. The shop owner can easily navigate through the playlists I've set up, depending on the mood she wants in the shop. And it looks great on her counter, in it's hand-tooled Vaja case. She gets loads of comments, her shop has tons of quality tunes, and she loves it. I can take my Powerbook to her shop and update her pod in seconds. Jonathan Ive does great stuff. I love the ipod size/weight ratio...like a Zippo. I'm an advertising writer, not a zealot, and have never had cause to touch a pc, but I hear people like them. I'd hate to think people on this board are so pragmatic as to not be motivated by passions, in some small way. My Powerbook is keeping my lap quite comfy at the moment, thank you, here in the chilly NE.
