Isn't this an amazing tool!! Where form does not imply function. When lying in the trunk it looks innocent enough, but oh the fun that awaits the unsuspecting user.
I had the minor misfortune of getting a flat on my way to work a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I was able to pull into my parking spot just as it hit bottom. When I am at home I never use the OEM lug wrench, always my torque wrench, and sometimes a breaker bar if some stupid tire person has torqued (tortured?) it to 150 ft.lbs. Anyway, I open the trunk, take out the lug wrench and get to work. I immediately realize that this is no way this piece of junk "GM" lug wrench at that screwy angle is going to do the job, even though I know the bolt torque is only 80 ft.lbs because I had tightened them myself a few weeks before. The metal on the socket end of the wrench is really thin, so even if you can apply 80 ft.lbs in the appropriate direction give the really bad vector of the wrench, you will (as I did) essentially increase the socket size by a few mm. Luckily, I have a machine shop at work, and my colleagues and I had no problem getting the bolts off with good tools.
Moral: Don't leave home with only this wrench in the trunk, especially if you are going far from civilization. I guarantee that if had been out in the boonies somewhere, I would have been really stuck
