The problem with the O2 sensor feedback system may be a result of the low engine temps. Do the T-stat first and discon the battery for a bit, then drive and readapt. Got radio anti theft code?
With a new t-stat it is often time for a coolant flush and fill. Hose joints can leak afterwards. Search drs<underscore>install and read the coolant system posts.
Plugs may be fouled too. Clean injectors with a 20 ounce bottle of Techron Concentrate.
If you still get CELs for O2 sensors, then check that the sensor bases are properly grounded by measuring ohms from these to battery ground -terminal-. If you find resistance, deal with that, reseating sensors if needed etc.
The proper operation of O2 sensors is vital to any vehicle that uses the. That covers almost 30 years of production.
