first time on mine. I had to go buy the tools four separate times! For 2000 9-3's, the drain bolt is 13mm. Someone recommended 6 pt socket instead of 12 pt and it was right on the money. 12 pt would have stripped the head in no time. Also, my wrench handle that has directional move and lock was too weak for the job. So, I bought a handle that doesn't move in the rotating direction and it worked well. It also changes angle and that comes in handy too. Turn very slowly but firmly. I almost stripped but it worked out.
For the oil filter, for me strap wrench recommended here didn't work well. Instead, there's a plier looking one in the filter wrench section at R&S Strauss. It worked much better.
