For an auto I don't think you would have a problem. But in a stick it my not be that enjoyable, the 12% grade and in some cases traffic could leave you with a burnt clutch and a numb left leg. You may want to consider the cog train.
Bring winter clothing, it is seriously cold up there, even in the summer.
