Spent some time driving the 9-5 over the weekend with the new cupholders (the Ultimate Cupholder II's and repositioned them several times to meet my own and my wife's preferences. Checked their placement with the seats in position to allow the rear seats to be folded forward. They work fine though one with a much longer inseam (mine is 32") may find some compromise is necessary.
As far as pictures are concerned, the photos on the website (see below) are better than I could do. Frankly, moving the cupholders around is so simple that if you're not happy with the placement, you should have no problem moving them.
The trick to the pin attachment is to first insert the bottom pins, pushing upward, and then attach the top of the holder, pushing gently down on the pins. The holder should be placed just above the floor with the bottom of the bottle sitting on the floor. (The photos on the website don't show the lower pins. They were added as a design improvement after the original prototype.)
I've tried a liter size bottle. The arms can be bent to accommodate it, but it makes the holder less useful for smaller bottles. I settled on 20 oz sizing that holds the bottle loosely and still works for the smallest water bottles I use.
All in all, it's the best design I've found. If you only place soda/beer cans in the holder, you may find another approach satisfactory. Likewise, if you don't mind placement on the door or drilling through the center console, another approach may work for you. From a looks, cost, and functional standpoint, however, these are a good buy compared to the alternatives.
