I have found a clip on solution for your dash vent of your choice. It is made by a company called tourS the 'S' is in red and tour in black letters.
I'm only guessing it is out of the U.S . Being right handed I put it to the first dash vent to my right. It sits at an okay height and will hold a large coffee cup or small bottle of water-no big gulps allowed! It was about six dollars cdn.The only real draw back is if it is summer and your ac is on then you will drink hot bevs quicker. In winter your water would get warmer from the heat. You can't adjust the vent with this kind of solution but I feel it is safer at least looking forward towards traffic than looking down at your leg to place beverage into floor or carpet/side of console mount.Real solution not to affect temperature is to mount it on left of steering wheel and close off vent with the dial control. and drink with left hand for a change?.Good luck!
