I've got a 2004 9-3SS Aero on order. Should be delivered this week but, for obvious reasons the salesman is insistent that I sign the papers, giving over my trade in, on Thursday (last day of Sept) no matter whether the car is ready or not. He even gave me the "we want you to be able to take advantage of this month's incentives" line when I'm sure it has more to do with his end-of-month sales numbers.
Anyway, would you sign for a new car and give them your trade-in (with promise of a loaner until the car arrives) without actually being able to look the car over for paint quality, fit and finish, etc. If I show up and see the car and it's got issues I have them over a barrel to fix those issues before I sign. If I do it their way I lose that edge.
I think there's probably a 90% chance that the car will be there on Thursday, but just wonder how people feel about this.
Thanks,
John
