If I could move anywhere this would probably be it. Unfortunately a lot of others are thinking the same way. Traffic in and around Seattle is about as jammed as anywhere in the US. Much worse than Minn, or Chicago. I'm told to expect resentment from 'natives' (those who have lived there for over 10 yrs).
The area is a great fit for someone coming from Minn. The climate will feel like Florida, and everyone tells you that the rain is miserable. They don't know miserable. Wonderful area, but expensive. Check some on line real estate, or newspapers. I would expect you'll pay at least double what you now see. In 1920 folks were still living in log cabins.
