I now have a different problem.
The 31 gb is taking too long to ghost. So I cancelled the operation, moved all data files to the desktop in my office over the network and deleted them on the laptop. Then I left the office. So I now have 15 gb to ghost, over the weekend at home.
Now at home, I could not see the USB connected external HD. That tells me the USB external HD option is not reliable. I tried to ghost the image to another computer on my home network. It gave me an error message similar to one in the office when I tried to ghost it over the office network. They were of the same error with a security issue.
My home network is a workgroup. The office is a domain. But my computer belongs to yet another domain (a client's domain because I was granted access to their network, I go there frequently and I want to keep it that way. But I don't want to confuse you with unnecessary details.) Suffice to say I have full access to my office and home networks in addition to client's network.
Why the error message? Is it because of the laptop's network identity? Or do I need a enterprise version of Ghost? Advice is appreciated.
