mine went this past weekend. a plumber lives across the street and told me to expect to pay about $600-700 to have one purchased and installed. it is a 40 gallon gas heater. he recommended either rheem or ruud heaters.
i'm not sure if he is over charging me or not. i found similar heaters through websearch for rheem around $300-400. i was told not to go through home depot as they are not worth the headache for the $.
any thoughts on what option to take? i never really knew how bad cold showers feel. it has been two days.....
thanks.
