I think the trend of dealers eschewing the loaner is a bad sign from a company that states "most poeple who test drive a Saab, buy one!"

I thought it was great of my dealership to give me a 9-2x loaner to intoduce me to the vehicle. They mentioned they liked the idea of people seeing a 9-2x on the road. Now, its no shuttle or lift of any kind. This from a dealer on the edge of town.

Saab corporate should be the ones pushing the loaner car as advertising and re-entrenchment of their existing user base. Maybe after driving a newer car I may want to upgrade. At worst, it engenders good will.

Bad move on the part of Saab. All service work should be offered a Saab loaner.
