The European Infotainment system is pretty darn sophisticated. Here's a quote from the Saab Great Britain website. Doesn't Saab have a deal that accepts a SIM car for cell phone service?
Here in the US the OnStar mentality keeps this out.
"Saab Infotainment System upgrade ( ES3-13) , audio system, Satellite Navigation , telephone key pad and colour display screen , 13 speakers
Includes DVD-based GPS navigation and a wide-screen colour display for maps and menu control functions. It can be extended with Advanced Voice Recognition (AVR), integrated telephone and in-dash CD changer. Possibility to connect your portable MP3 player. The ES3-13 Sound System has a total amplifier output of 300 W and thirteen loudspeakers. It includes dedicated subwoofwers and a front centre speaker to enhance the sound experience."
