Unless it was major damage, a "ding" that has been repaired will not affect the resale value of a 5 year old car. Expecting a car to not only be in excellent condition, but to NEVER have had anything happed to it is pretty unrealistic. If you rule out cars based on that, you're severely limiting your options.
